Eclipse Environmental supply robust high quality hoists that provide faultless performance at a great price. Our experienced team provide the consultation you need to ensure that we supply you with exactly the right types of hoist to suit your workshop, whatever the size.
Vehicle hoists can be divided into three main categories; two post, four post and scissor lift, each with there own advantages and disadvantages for your workshop.
Two post hoists raise the vehicle off the ground using arms that are attached to the post and lift via the chassis rails. As there are only two posts a smaller footprint is used, meaning a larger number of these hoists can be installed within the workshop. An advantage of two post hoists is that all four wheels are off the ground allowing for greater maneuverability while under the hoist.
Four post hoists raise the vehicle off the ground via the wheels. These type of hoist are normally installed for wheel alignment equipment or other processes. The corner lifting method allows for full access to all doors as well as enables a larger safe working load. If the vehicle needs to have its wheels suspended while on a four post hoist a jacking beam can be installed to allow this.
Scissor lifts allow a quick and easy way to raise a vehicle without the need for posts. the removal of the posts allows for a full 360 degree workspace to the side of the vehicle. Scissor lifts can be installed flush to the ground to provide access for super low vehicles as well as providing a clean sharper look to the workshop
